Job Summary
Absolute Elder Care is a geriatric focused Mobile Physician Group providing Primary Care Services to patients in Assisted Living Facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Private Residences across North and Central Florida. We are currently seeking a Rounding Medical Assistant for The Villages and Lady Lake area to assist one of our physicians with visits to patients in their private residence. This is a Monday through Friday position.
Responsibilities
- Organizes and maintains provider's rounding schedule and communicates with facility staff to ensure patient's needs are met
- Maintains courteous and professional working relationship with facility staff, other third-party providers, patients and patient families, and coworkers
- Maintains an accurate patient census for each assigned facility
- Completes accurate merging of progress notes
- Transmits orders to pharmacy, facility, laboratory, and diagnostic imaging company as directed by the provider
- Answers questions and provides clarification on orders when appropriate
- ·Maintains inventory supplies to ensure provider is properly equipped
- Attends weekly medical assistant web meetings (via TEAMS)
- Facilitates telemedicine visits as needed
- Assists provider with CMS quality objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant
- Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation
- Strong computer and transcription skills eClinical Works a plus!
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and high level of attention to detail
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable transportation

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
